— - One of our listeners, by availing themselves of the public information disclosure laws, has managed to have various documents sent to them from the City and the Prefecture of Niigata
- This time, it’s the “March 29” documents
- Now last year, on March 29th, AKS visited Niigata representatives in order to provide them an explanation, for what it lasted nearly an hour
- The subject matter in here is “Apologies about the series of controversies concerning NGT, and on plans for the future”
- This also tends to come up in other such documents, but this word “controversies”
That would mean that AKS gave to the Niigata Prefecture and others an explanation to the effect of “This, rather than being an incident, was only a controversy caused by Yamaguchi Maho making a commotion”, and as such even the people at the Prefecture of Niigata took to treating it as a “controversy”, in turn. - Who are you trying to fool? — is all I am thinking. That’s not a controversy! It’s an incident! And one that has turned into a criminal case, to boot.
- By referring to it as a “controversy”, the are giving the impression of “just some commotion being made”. Would it mean that AKS itself is attempting to induce them into thinking of it this way?
— - By the time this listener managed to retrieve this information, AKS had already lost. They retreated, were defeated, one can say they are currently on the run already, in their condition.
- Since they are running away after defeat, one would think if it’s even worth it anymore to bring that up at this time, but the fact is that some passages of the document material that was brought out, or rather quite a lot of parts, are really irksome.
- Irksome in the sense that makes you go like “What?!”; and it’s that feeling of mine that I now want to share with every one of you
- With “controversy” and so on, it makes me feel indeed irked down to each singular word.
– - (From the document: “At the present time we are having a discussion with all the members, one by one”)
- Yeah, maybe there was a discussion involved. “You are the offender here”, and the like…
- (From the document: “The truth is that there were inadequacies in the initial response on AKS’s part”)
- Looking at that, it would appear as if they are admitting that liabilities fall on themselves, but the fact is that in a veiled way they are also giving themselves a cushion with this. This one too, makes Takkentaro feel irked.
- (From the document: “On plans for the future”)
- Now, there’s some more exceptionally irritating writing found inside of it.
- (From the document: “We want, as a newly-born NGT, to restart our activities from the middle of April”)
- Now, the time they went to give their explanation was on March 29th. They are saying that they already want to restart activities again after what is just about half a month.
- About that, what were they looking at while speaking of this? — one must wonder. This is no more than speculation on my part, but thinking about that normally, it must have been Yamaguchi Maho-san’s graduation, now isn’t it?
- Yamaguchi-san announced her graduation on April 21st. That makes it after the mid-period of the month.
- They are speaking, after all, of wanting to get into their activities after the middle of April.
- At that moment, AKS and their president Yoshinari were only thinking about how they were implying, “we want to get back to regular conditions” from around the middle of April, after expelling Yamaguchi-san.
- If it wouldn’t be so, then they would be bring up the date of “middle of April”, I mean? Aaah, that just ticks me off.
- (From the document: “1: Our plan of action relative to the contracts [for the promotional campaigns]”)
- By that point in the situation, they were still in the stage of, “We will be considering about it”, regarding the question of the contract deals. They still don’t get it, do they? — it makes you wonder.
- [From the document,] “This is the renewal period for contracts lasting one fiscal year, but at present time the series of controversies, yadda yadda [haven’t come to a conclusion yet, and so NGT48 hasn’t returned back to a normal management condition either]”
- Even that part… I have mentioned it already in the first episode, but the root reason the term “controversies” came to be used [by the Prefecture] is because of the the AKS side introducing it.
- Far from being a controversy, this is something that constituted a criminal case, so words like “controversy”, as in to mean kicking up a fuss, are something I find unbecoming.
- But since AKS, from right the very beginning, spoke to them from the stance that Yamaguchi Maho-san just kicked up a commotion for whimsical reasons, that it’s not like she actually did have her face clutched, etc… such an explanation was brought all the way to the attention of the Prefecture of Niigata, and they have been deciding on their course of actions with exactly that premise in mind, which is why the Prefecture of Niigata too couldn’t help but using the term “controversy” for it.
- How extremely infuriating.
