I started poking around HKT48’s past releases, which isn’t that hard since they put out at most two singles a year, and only one in 2018 and 2019.
From their 2018 single 早送りカレンダー (hayaokuri KARENDAA) I bring you 僕の想いがいつか虹になるまで (boku no omoi ga itsuka niji ni naru made / ‘Till The Day My Feelings Become A Rainbow), notably a unit song with some of the biggest names in the current HKT — Miyawaki Sakura, Matsuoka Hana, and (missing her trusty partner Nako) Tanaka Miku.
I suppose there’s a loose connection between the video and the song, but it mostly seems like someone wanted to practice with their giant green screen and video editing while some idols horse around. Still, it’s a fun summery sort of tune with a simple, energetic, and silly MV to go with it.
I’ve already brought up my fondness for Hana, and she is 1000% on point for this MV: tripping, falling, being goofy, and singing earnestly and squeakily. The other two are also having some fun here; especially take note of DJ Miku’s moves.
Unfortunately my copy of the MV (off their DVD…) is potato quality, but at least the subs should be legible.
