STU48 held a month-long paid vote for the selection of seven members for a special unit as part of their upcoming 6th single. The unit will be given it’s own song along with special media appearances as ambassadors to Setouchi. Here’s Fu’s comments on the results that were just announced:

I came in 5th place in our 6th single unit coupling senbatsu! First of all, thank you very much to all the people that voted for and supported me! I am really happy to be among the 7 people that made it in.
During the month-long voting period, saying to my fans every day, “Let’s all do our best”, I realized how I was changing myself from the downcast sort of person I used to be, and more than anything felt just how much support I was getting. You honestly helped me in my selfish declaration that I wanted to be #1, supported me, and aided me again and again.
However, I feel very upset that while saying I was aiming for 1st, I came in 5th. I’m so frustrated that I’m never able to live up to the expectations of those that support me that I cried. But I am very happy and want to treasure that I was ranked in by you all at 5th, and I think it’s an indicator that I can still aim to do a bit better in the future, so want to work hard with the intent to be sure to power up even more for the next time. More than anything, I am truly happy with the aid and support that everyone provided to me. So that I make the most of each vote that was cast for me, filled with expectations, I will do my best from now on to promote Setouchi even more from my own perspective. I’m sure there are things that only I can do, so I’ll do my best to deliver them in various ways!
