Not sure where I ran into Suzuki Airi, though probably while watching Music Station or Count Down TV as usual. She released “Break it down” right at the end of last year, so I guess I spent plenty of time over the holidays watching those sorts of shows.
I don’t know much about her other than I guess she’s a former idol. And also that you can get her music digitally outside Japan, which is always a nice surprise.
I like the song, and the MV, but actually its the official studio dance version that I’ve been really enjoying.
There are English subs on the official MV, though they seem a little suspect (not that my translations aren’t fully suspect as well). So instead I decided to do my own subs for the dance video. Also may I point out the particularly skilled and cute back-dancer in light purple? Ok.
