Little Glee Monster — 恋を焦らず

I think I discovered Little Glee Monster through Keyakizaka, though I can’t recall now if it was a suggestion from one of the member’s blogs, mobame, or they just happened to be featured on the same music show. In any case, I started listening through their discography, and it didn’t take long for them to become my favorite group. Their vocals are outstanding, and their songs are generally upbeat with a nice retro feel.

恋を焦らず (koi wo aserazu / Don’t Rush Love) from their 4th album FLAVA immediately caught my attention. Despite being (or because it is?) a sappy love song, it hits all the right notes for me, and might be my favorite LGM song next to their stunning cover of ファイト! (Fight!). The MV is a bit goofy, but fun. Sadly they region lock their channel, so you’ll probably have use a VPN to see it.

I haven’t found much in the way of LGM lyric translations, so I thought to try it myself (for the first time)! Turns out, lyric translations are really hard, so consider this a novice effort. It helps that LGM has a habit of making lyric MVs, so the timing work was already done. For reference, the original lyrics are included in the sub file as well.

On a side note, the font they use for the in-video lyrics (aside from the title card), and that I used for my sub, is called “cinecaption”. It took me a really long time to track that down.
